|PIC1|Luv Esther, a pop/opera musical based on the book of Esther in the bible, premiered in London 7th June at the Hackney Empire.

The tour will include 5 big shows at the Hackney Empire in London, with an expected 1,200 people a night and a matinee performance on 8th June, sponsored by Pricewaterhouse & Cooper, to which local school pupils have been invited.

In addition musical plans to tour North America, Australia and South Africa, and other countries in Europe.

Written by NGM director Ray Goudie Luv Esther is based on the life of the biblical character Esther.

”There’s a phrase doing the rounds these days that ‘God wants His church back,” says Ray Goudie, writer and producer of Luv Esther, “For some it sounds harsh, but to me it’s all about giving control back to the bridegroom. It’s not a phrase to be shouted in anger, but a genuine call for the church to come back to Himself, becoming besotted with Jesus. That’s what Luv Esther is all about: falling in love again with a Father who’s calling us to move on with Him.” |AD|

Goudie is working with a talented team of songwriters, including Kevan Frost, Cathy Burton, Chris Eaton, Andy hunter, Neil Wilson, Ben Peters, Mark Underdown, and Mark Vallance, to have produced twenty musical numbers. An album of the songs featured in the show is now available.

There will also be a presentation from Luv Esther, focusing on the aids pandemic in Africa to present the challenge ‘are you called for such a time as this?’

As Esther was to save a nation, this appeal will feature the song ‘for the love of Juliet,’ a song written by Ray Goudie, that captures the final months of the life of 10-year-old girl Juliet who died of aids shortly after Ray met her.

Overall, Luv Esther is expressed to be a “professional quality, dynamic, fun and entertaining presentation for the whole family to enjoy,” according to the Luv Esther website.
