The live-action "Full Metal Alchemist" movie is coming to Netflix in February.

Directed by Fumihiko Sori, the film is an adaptation of the "Full Metal Alchemist" anime. It was released on Dec. 1, 2017 and received a 5.2 over 10 on movie review website Rotten Tomatoes. The movie's plot is quite similar to that of the anime. It starts out with two brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric – after the death of their mother, both boys (who are particularly gifted in alchemy) decide to bring her back to life. They create a transmutation circle in their home, but instead of summoning their mother back from the dead, create a strange creature that vaguely resembles her. To make matters worse, Edward loses his arm and Alphonse loses his entire body. Edward eventually trades his leg for his brother's soul before attaching Alphonse consciousness to a suit of armor.

After the events of the first arc, the brothers then set off in search of the legendary Philospher's stone. According to critics, the movie did not do well because it attempted to cram a multi-episode anime into one movie. It did not translate well and ended up feeling rushed instead.

However, fans can give it a try when it finally debuts on Netflix.

Other shows coming to Netflix in February include: Sci-fi series "Altered Carbon," a show set in a strange world where human personalities can be downloaded into new bodies. "Coach Snoop," a documentary about Snoop Dogg and how he formed a football team to keep at-risk teens busy and off of the streets. "Lula Petunia," an animated show geared at kids that focuses on titular character Petunia as she enters and enjoys the strange world of Amazia, and a lot more.

There are a handful of Netflix originals, old and new movies alike, comedies, thrillers, and more. There is something for everyone in Netflix's February lineup.
