Kristen Stewart news, rumors: Actress still dating Alicia Cargile, says she's happier than with a guy

Kristen Stewart has recently been seen hanging out with St. Vincent, sparking rumors that the former has broken up with her girlfriend Alicia Cargile. The "Twilight" star has since stepped forward to set the records straight and to open up about her sexuality and love life.

As reported by The IBTimes, it was only this past summer when Stewart confirmed to the public that she was dating Alicia Cargile. However, the actress has been seen with St. Vincent, known as the ex-girlfriend of actress Cara Delevingne, around New York City, and they were spotted together back in August.

Because of this, rumors began spreading that she had split from Cargile and was now going out with St. Vincent. The report does note that unnamed sources claim they are only hanging out as friends and that Stewart is still dating Cargile.

Speaking to Elle Magazine (via Inquisitr), she did not explicitly state that she was still with Cargile, but the actress did open up about her sexuality, hinting that, at this point, she had nothing left to hide. She even confessed she was feeling better now dating women than she ever did dating men, including "Twilight" co-star Robert Pattinson.

"When I was dating a guy I was hiding everything that I did because everything personal felt like it was immediately trivialized, so I didn't like it," she explained. "But then it changed when I started dating a girl I was like, 'Actually, to hide this provides the implication that I'm not down with it or I'm ashamed of it,' so I had to alter how I approached being in public. It opened my life up and I'm so much happier," the actress went on to say.

It is also pointed out that Pattinson appears to be unaffected by Stewart's statements or by the rumor of the actress dating St. Vincent as he is reportedly happy with his relationship with FKA Twigs.
