HTC One X9, One M10 release rumors: HTC One M10 to launch with One X9 early next year?

Fresh from the launch of one of the first devices to have the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow platform, the One A9, HTC fans are already speculating about the company's offerings for next year. According to rumors, HTC will apparently launch two new flagships in the early months of 2016.

Phone Arena reported that although HTC has just recently released a flagship product, it is already hard at work on the next iteration in the M-series. Meanwhile, there will also be an additional, yet-to-be-announced smartphone with midrange specs. According to the report, HTC's next hero device, the One M10, will be launched at least two to three months after the announcement for the One X9, to be launched in the first quarter of 2016. This places HTC's next premium flagship sometime in May or June.

With the lukewarm reception for its predecessor, the One M9, HTC redesigned the M10 in terms of design and specs sheet. It is said that the M10 will use an AMOLED screen, much like what the HTC One A9 has been launched with. Meanwhile, as a high-end device, the One M10 could also launch with either a new Snapdragon or MediaTek chipset.

As for the One X9, although HTC has not confirmed the details yet, GSM Arena reported seeing the upcoming device. The One X9 apparently has been sighted on the Chinese social media site Weibo, giving observers a first glimpse at its supposed design. According to the supposedly leaked images, the new One X9 will sport a curvier design than the seemingly straight edges and corners of other HTC smartphones. Meanwhile, the image also presented a look at the back of the One X9, revealing that there will be a raised strip along the top of the device, housing the camera and flash modules.

Although there are no confirmed details yet for the specs sheet, it is said that the One X9 will launch with a 5.5-inch full HD display, an above midrange MediaTek chipset paired with 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage. The One X9 will also supposedly have a 3,000-mAh battery.
