HTC One M10 release date set 2 months after One X9 launch?

According to a report from the Master Herald, Taiwanese company HTC is planning on releasing the HTC One M10 soon, with all its improvements, in order to make up for the abysmal feedback on the HTC One M9. The report also indicates that the improved model is planned to launch sometime in spring 2016.

It is further explained that the HTC One X9 is currently scheduled for an early Q1 2016 release and then HTC One M10 will follow suit several months after, likely in two to three months. This will give the One X9 enough time out in the market before the public's attention is turned to the One M10.

This is actually common practice and even bigger companies such as Apple follow the same release strategy. While Apple released the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus just a few months back, they did wait for a while before launching the iPad Pro. This prevents their own products from competing with each other.

With that said, the One X9 is expected to launch as early as January 2016 which means the HTC One M10 might officially become available by March or April. The HTC One M9 launched in March this year so it is likely the HTC One M10 will see a similar release window.

No official release date has yet been announced, however, and these release windows should still be considered as pure speculation. Despite how likely the release dates are, it is always possible for HTC to suddenly delay a device's launch to implement improvements.

The HTC One M10 is speculated to run on something better than the M9's Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which suffered from overheating, as well as 3 GB of RAM. It will have an improved camera with better auto-focus and will sport a 5-inch or 5.2-inch display. There are also rumors of the phone supporting VR technology with the HTC Vive.
