'House of Cards' season 4 spoilers: Will Claire postpone her plans of leaving Frank?

Frank and Claire Underwood in House of Cards Netflix

The marriage between the First Couple of the United States obviously crumbled during the past season of "House of Cards," but it seems like Frank (Kevin Spacey) and Claire (Robin Wright) Underwood will do whatever it takes to stay in power, even by pretending that they still have a united front.

While several rumors claim that Claire will finally break free from her self-serving and ruthless husband and will condemn his dirty political tactics while gearing to run against him in the upcoming presidential election, other speculations say that the two are still together and they will even adopt a child to show the entire nation that they are still a happy couple.

If the adoption rumors turn out to be true, then it means that Claire will no longer push through with her decision to cut ties with her scheming husband and continue to allow him to use her in his political ambitions.

On the other hand, earlier spoilers claimed that the world of the U.S. president and his wife will be shaken by the arrival of a younger power couple. According to rumors, actress Neve Campbell will portray the role of the other half of the alleged power couple when the political drama returns to Netflix next season. The actor who will portray her partner, on the other hand, is still unrevealed at the moment.

There are also rumors claiming that the president's chief of staff and most loyal friend Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) will die next season. But while Netflix has yet to address the alleged rumors, the actor expressed his hopes that his character will not be written off in the upcoming installments of the critically acclaimed series, saying that the role is one of the best jobs that he ever had.

"House of Cards" is currently being filmed, and Netflix is expected to reveal its air date soon.
