'Homeland' season 4 episode 10 preview: Will Saul and Carrie survive? Will anyone die in the embassy takeover?

Undoubtedly one of the best seasons of "Homeland" yet, the last episode kept viewers breathless and at the edge of their seats with its heart-gripping scenes full of emotional highs. Episode 9 titled "There's Something Else Going On" was about the prisoner exchange, but that couldn't even compare to the cliffhanger fans were left with.

At the end of the episode, Saul and Carrie's convoy was bombed while Hassaim Haqqani and his troops was taking over the U.S. embassy. With everything that was happening, it looked like someone would die in the next episode.

The major burning question is if Saul and Carrie are still alive. For sure, they are. Not only are they the lead stars of the series, but a photo from New York Daily News shows Saul and Carrie in a gunfight while surrounded with wreckage, which appears to be the blasted convoy. So, it is safe to say that the two fan-favorite characters will live another day.

Who will die in the embassy? There's no confirmation on that, but fans are hoping that Carrie's line "no more dying" would hold true. On the other hand, previous reports did reveal that the cast was taping a funeral scene for the season finale. And this could very well mean that an important character will die this season.

Will the CIA catch Haqqani? No, they won't. According to IBT, an image from episode 10 shows that Haqqani is alive and well. Also, in the sneak peek for the 10th episode "13 Hours in Islamabad," Ambassador Boyd is seen talking to Peter Quinn about the information Dennis just gave her. Peter gives the orders on what they should do given that the marines have already been deployed to help Carrie and Saul leave the embassy defenseless.

From the looks of things, Peter will play a very important role in this embassy takeover. Images of Peter holding a gun shows that he will definitely be in action. And for Peter Quinn fans out there, no, he won't die either, because a photo of him in episode 10 walking down the street has surfaced, too.

Sadly, there will be no episode this week, but "Homeland" will return on Dec. 7 on Showtime.
