This week's episode of "Hannibal" season 3 will follow Will as he continues to track down the killer doctor. In the new episode titled "Secondo," his search eventually leads him to Lithuania, where Hannibal's defining, life-turning childhood took place and where his inner psychopath was ultimately unleashed.

There, he finds the grave of Mischa Lecter, Hannibal's younger sister who died before he even got the chance to show her the world. This is what led him to become the cannibalistic doctor he is now. Will also stumbles upon a "mysterious" woman named Chiyo, who will help him locate Hannibal.

Chiyo is a character made and re-imagined for the series and is loosely based on Lady Murasaki. The latter is a character in the Thomas Harris' novels, and Chiyo from the book serves as her attendant. Showrunner Bryan Fuller said months back that he had "greater reins" with her on board.

Meanwhile, in episode 3, Hannibal is worried that Will will be successful in locating him. In the promo, he and Bedelia remain in Italy and he reveals his concern about his pursuer catching up on him.

Bedelia, on the other hand, isn't convinced with Hannibal's confession. She believes that he himself is planning to draw Will to them, along with the criminal profiler's newfound ally, and that he is responsible for this pursuit in the first place. It looks as if Bedelia might be right.

Meanwhile, Hugh Dancy, who plays Will in the series, has shared an insight about his character's quest in finding the sadistic doctor. While talking to Variety, he revealed that Will is much better compared to how he was when Hannibal left him bleeding to death.

"My feeling was that he goes after Hannibal knowing that he has to do it, but almost choosing not to worry why he's going or what he wants to find when he gets there and what he wants to do. He's in a much clearer mental state," the actor explained

"He's now, in a Zen way, accepting the need to go on this quest without needing to know what he's going to find at the end," he went on to say when asked about stepping "outside of the world" without help from the FBI or Hannibal himself.

"Hannibal" season 3 episode 3 "Secondo" will air June 18.
