'Glee' season 6 spoilers: New Directioner to renew rivalry with the Warblers

Recent spoilers claim that the New Directioners and Warblers will renew their rivalry in the next and final season of Fox's "Glee".

All signs point to the two clubs battling head-to-head once again when the TV musical returns in the spring of 2015. This is fueled by the tweet of actor Nolan Funk who plays Hunter Clarington. Funk tweeted a photo of him with Glee star Darren Criss who plays Blaine. The photo was captioned "#WarblerSelfie @DarrenCriss @GLEEonFOX".

Hunter was once the head of the Warblers but was demoted after a drug scandal. Everyone thought Hunter was expelled from Dalton Academy (home of the Warblers) because of the scandal as well as an altercation with a reporter.

However, it looks as if Funk will join the returning cast of Glee for the series finale.

It is known that Rachel Berry will head back to McKinley High School to restart the glee club. Many fans are wondering if Rachel will be forced to deal with McKinley High's old foes or the Warblers.

Spoilers have hinted at the series' returning and guest-starring cast:

Fans know that Lea Michele (Rachel), Chris Colfer (Kurt), Darren Criss (Blaine) and Jane Lynch (Sue) will be part of the regular cast in season six. Heather Morris (Brittany), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Matthew Morrison (Will), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Mark Salling (Puck), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), and Naya Rivera (Santana) will appear in some of the episodes as guest stars.

New characters were also reported to join the cast. According to TV Line, five new characters will be added to the season's line up though no official announcement has been made. The new cast will include Roderick, Spencer, Jane, Mason and Madison.

Next season, viewers can expect a time jump and all of the characters will come back to the place where it all started – McKinley High School.

Show creator Ryan Murphy welcomed past characters and guest stars who want to return for the series' final season.
