Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s next fight with Amir Khan or Manny Pacquiao?

Floyd Mayweather could possibly face Amir Khan in his next bout, if the undefeated five-division champion would grab the deal.

The British boxer is currently campaigning to be "Money" Mayweather's next opponent, even at the expense of his friend and sparring partner Manny Pacquiao.

"I'm younger, I'm faster and I box better than Manny Pacquiao. I've got youth behind me and I have a new trainer, which has made a massive difference in my training, being in the Bay Area and getting away from all the distractions in LA. I've come here because I'm serious about the sport," Khan told Fight Hype.

However, Mayweather discredited Khan's credentials in his own interview with the popular boxing website.

He said, "He [Khan] still got Danny Garcia problems and there's another guy over in the UK. No, not Kell Brook. Kell Brook is a good, little fighter. I was impressed. I'm talking about another guy that slept Amir Khan."

But Mayweather's father Floyd Sr. believes otherwise. He said that his son could probably face Khan sometime soon.

"I would like to see Floyd have a couple fights where he ain't fighting all these big, tough fighters. I'm not saying that Floyd's not going to fight the best, because that's all Floyd has fought is the best, but I'm saying right now, since he ain't but a couple fights before he ends his career, I'm just saying that maybe those couple of fights could be easy," Mayweather's dad and trainer stated.

Aside from Amir Khan, the world is waiting for the Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao fight to happen despite The Money's repeated refusal to face the Filipino boxer because of his hatred for Bob Arum, Pacquiao's promoter and Top Rank CEO.

Nevertheless, the Pacman's trainer Freddie Roach does not believe that this is the real reason why the Mayweather-Pacquiao bout is not happening.

"Al Haymon will not fight Manny Pacquiao, guarantee that. Because they're scared, all of them. His lead guy all the way down. It's not going to happen. All of the excuses about they don't like Bob Arum; it's just excuses," Roach said.

Al Haymon is Mayweather's closest adviser and one of the most influential figures in boxing today.

As of the moment, Mayweather's next fight is still unannounced.
