Marvel comics fans love the "Fantastic Four." And despite the disastrous movie franchise from 20th Century Fox years back, fans are still hopeful that this reboot will finally do justice to the story of this team of superheroes.

The official trailer has been released. But based on the trailer alone, it is difficult to pinpoint what the movie is all about. If the watcher isn't a comic reader, the confusion is inevitable. The trailer mostly shows highlights from the film, but they don't exactly show any relation to each other. 

The main dialogue of the trailer reads: "Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy." 

Further, the trailer wentgoes deep into the science and technology behind what happened. And again, viewers do can't really understand what that is about. 

Thanks to Vox, the trailer is clearly explained to non-comic book fans. Vox said that the reboot is actually about the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Ultimate Universe already, which is actually a revamp of the original version of the team. 

Director Josh Trank shared that the team is already the "Ultimates," but they are not completely abandoning space and science. The "Ultimates" are the younger versions of the original team. 

Vox shared the story and how the Fantastic Four were formed, narrating how creators Stan Lee and Jack Kirby came up with the Fantastic Four in 1961 in an attempt to help Marvel, which was struggling at the time. Since the U.S. and the Soviets were in a space race during the period, Lee and Kirby came up with the concept of the four characters going into space but go through changes during the process. 

Doctor Doom remains as the villain in the movie but no one can actually spot him in the trailer. 

"Fantastic Four" will hit theaters on Aug. 7.
