'Dragon Ball Super' episode 59 spoilers: Beerus' plan fails to stop Zamasu as villain's death does nothing about future

The next episode of "Dragon Ball Super," the heroes will figure out the evil Zamasu's next move, which is to kill his own master Gowasu. This had Goku urging to spring to action to save the Kaioshin.

In the promo for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 59 titled "Protect Kaioshin Gowasu, Destroy Zamasu," the Kai in training attempts to poison his master, which he appears to have done so successfully.

The "Dragon Ball Super" episode 59 teaser suggests that Beerus will insist on obtaining proof that Zamasu indeed tried to poison Gowasu.

Goku can be heard asking what the God of Destruction plans on doing, seeing that it might be too late to save the Kai if they don't do something now.

His plan is revealed in a leaked synopsis of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 60, where Beerus kills present Zamasu in order to stop him from becoming the immortal villain they dealt with in the previous episode.

However, Future Trunks says that this may not have gotten the job done. He will return to his timeline after "Dragon Ball Super" episode 59 to check if things were reversed, following present Zamasu's demise.

At the moment, there's no information yet as to what sight Future Trunks will see in the future. However, it is believed that what Beerus did will fail to prevent Zamasu's future self from existing.

The leaked title for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 61 suggests that Zamasu will present his "Zero Mortal Plan," which suggests that he is still well on his way to achieving the goal.

Meanwhile, in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 59, fans can expect Zamasu and Goku to duke it out as the latter and the group confronts him.

Killing Gowasu is believed to be the Kai apprentice's way to get a hold of the Potara earrings and the Time Ring that he and Goku Black uses to wreak havoc in different universes and timelines.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 59 "Protect Kaioshin Gowasu, Destroy Zamasu" will air on Sunday, Sept. 25 on Fuji TV.
