Monaka's true power will be revealed when he takes on Goku in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 42, "Trouble at the Victory Celebration! Showdown at Last?! Monaka vs. Son Goku."

Monaka was always considered a weakling, but the promo for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 42 shows otherwise. In just one punch, Monaka sent the Saiyan flying through the sky.

Up to now, there is no solid information about Monaka or his skills. Before the inter-universal tournament began, Beerus told Goku and Vegeta that Monaka is the strongest fighter in the team.

Goku has always thought that Monaka was weak, but if the promo isn't misdirection or something to throw viewers off, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 42 will prove Goku wrong.

Monaka can be seen wearing a Satan Gym outfit while he fights Goku. Whatever this means will be explained when "Dragon Ball Super" returns, but it will certainly be interesting to see how it all goes down.

Another intriguing part of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 42 is Piccolo and Vegeta being involved somehow during the fight. Goku noticed that they were nervous but unsure how. Is Monaka intimidating them?

Meanwhile, in the previous episode, the celebration of the Universe 7 after winning the tournament was cut short due to the unexpected arrival of Zeno, the king of all 12 universes.

Also referred to as the Omni-King, Zeno visits the Nameless Planet to express his excitement about the tournament. He reveals that he was entertained and enjoyed it so much that he is thinking of holding a competition that will be joined in by all 12 universes.

While there, Zeno also made sure to tell off Beerus and Champa, who haven't been living up to their titles as the gods of destruction. He grumbles that they have been busy tearing down plates of food and nothing more.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 42 will air May 8 on Fuji TV.
