It is not everyday someone challenges the Behavioral Analysis Unit's (BAU) resident genius Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), but it will happen when the CBS series "Criminal Minds" returns after the winter break.

In the episode titled "Entropy," TV Line reports that Reid's 187 IQ will be tested by a girl and a sexy one at that, when he goes in one of his infrequent trips outside his lab. The criminal profiler is purportedly out on a date, when he suddenly finds himself looking at the nose of a gun. The woman he is seeing swiftly whips out the weapon and asks Reid to play a dangerous game with her or he can kiss his life goodbye. What is more, she threatens to kill the other people in the restaurant if he tries to make a run for it. Reid has no option but to do what the crazy woman wants short of sacrificing the lives of innocent individuals.

The girl's name is Cat Adams (Aubrey Plaza) and she claims she knows things about Reid and his work as an FBI agent. While the situation seems like a joke to Reid, Cat is a hundred percent serious. Will Reid's eidetic memory be enough to outwit a clever girl such as this one? If he fails, there is no way Cat will think twice about open firing in the restaurant. If he does not play as she demands him to do, the result will also be the same. Who is Cat and why is she targeting Reid? Do they have a connection that the autodidact is not aware of?

Executive producer Erica Messer told Entertainment Weekly back in August that the special agent would be having "a very dramatic moment" in one of the episodes of season 11. She said that Reid would take the lead in a crucial takedown in a case BAU was being tapped to work on.

"He gets to do a takedown Reid style, which is just using his brain with a physical thing that's really disturbing — you have to turn away. It's not a standoff with a gun, it's a Reid version of a takedown," Messer said.

"Criminal Minds" season 11 episode 11 will air on Jan. 13,  2016 at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
