Chicago Bulls trade rumors 2016: Taj Gibson heading to Phoenix Suns? Rudy Gay reportedly taking his place

The Chicago Bulls trade rumor mills are churning nonstop, claiming that Taj Gibson will be out of the red jersey soon as the franchise reportedly intends to trade him off.

According to latest NBA trade rumors and reports, the Bulls are hoping to snag Sacramento Kings small forward Rudy Gay. This deal will be possible with the help of the Phoenix Suns in a three-way deal.

Gibson is imagined to either take the place of Gay in the team he is exiting or will be a new member of the Phoenix Suns. It is believed that this will benefit all teams involved.

If traded off to the Suns, Gibson is expected to reinforce the frontcourt play of the team. Its shooting guard Brandon Knight will then be moved to Sacramento, allowing Gay to be with the Bulls.

Knight is expected to help DeMarcus Cousins with the offense while being a good scorer as well. As for Gay, his experience is expected to boost the performance of the Bulls, leaving all teams in the deal happy.

Should this Chicago Bulls trade rumor come to pass, Gay is expected to save the shooting department of the Windy City as well and his defense will also help the team.

Meanwhile, if Gibson will stay on the team, he is expected to be a bit sidelined next season, especially with Rajon Rondo and Dwyane Wade now part of the crew.

There are even reports that the Bulls are also looking to bring in Los Angeles Clippers franchise star Blake Griffin, which, if it pushes through, will end with Gibson out of the team or with little playing time. Nikola Mirotic might be in danger too.

Australian News Network says that with Gibson's skill set already filled by his teammates, he is the player most likely to go to the chopping block.
