'Captain America: Civil War' spoilers: Russo brothers talk Spider-Man's involvement and post-credits scene

"Captain America: Civil War" directors Joe and Anthony Russo recently teased what to expect in the full-blown Marvel film, including post-credit scenes and the extent of Spider-Man's involvement in the conflict.

The brothers are aware that a lot of the excitement about "Captain America: Civil War" has to do with Spider-Man's appearance in it, and the Russos made sure that the wall-crawler's most devoted fans will enjoy Peter Parker's homecoming in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Anthony Russo revealed that they had to be "artificially silent" about Spider-Man's inclusion since his appearance was still up in the air during the middle of the production of "Captain America: Civil War."

The half of the filmmaking duo recalled how thorough the casting process was and how actor Tom Holland will look as the new Spider-Man alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans.

"It's all secure and we're at a place where we can present him even in just a small taste," the aforementioned co-director told Forbes.

"Part of the fun of Spider-Man is that this film is basically a war amongst the Avengers and Spidey does not have the baggage that all these other characters have. He enters the story after the conflict that is happening between the Avengers and that gives him a very unique place in the story," he went on to say.

As for Spider-Man's costume, which was first seen in the recent "Captain America: Civil War" trailer, the directors anticipated the mixed reactions considering the Marvel character's popularity.

Joe Russo said that they made sure they "love [the costume]" and they "are true to [themselves]," adding that Marvel head Kevin Feige also "loves" the costume.

As for a post-credit scene in "Captain America: Civil War," Joe said, "We can't say who is going to be in it but we can say that there certainly could be one, or two, maybe three. We can confirm that you should stay sat in your seats when the movie is done."

"Captain America: Civil War" will be released May 6, 2016.
