'Captain America: Civil War' spoilers: Spider-Man's scenes to change the tone of the film

Spider-Man caught between Captain America and Iron Man's sides during the Civil War Marvel Comics

Spider-Man, now played by Tom Holland, will be making his MCU debut in next year's "Captain America: Civil War," and according to a recent scoop from BirthMoviesDeath, his scenes will alter the tone of the movie.

The report states that one crucial scene will showcase Spider-Man fighting but it won't be as polished as the other superhero fights. The studios won't be delving into another origin story but this will show that Peter Parker has not been Spider-Man for long and is still learning how to be a hero.

By now, audiences are used to superheroes who seem so powerful and comfortable in their roles as crime fighters. Captain America (Chris Evans) literally was a soldier during World War II, but Spider-Man is just a high school kid making things up as he tries to win a fight.

The report explains that Spider-Man will fight in the film but the manner of the fight and its choreography will be different from those in other superhero films because it will be awkward and "profoundly dorky," which is indeed a departure from the usual fare where superheroes act like war-veterans who already know what they're doing.

While it was previously believed that Spider-Man will only have a brief cameo, the report indicates otherwise as it states that all the Spider-Man scenes have been filmed. Peter Parker might not be seen much, but a fully costumed Spider-Man will reportedly have several key scenes, including the aforementioned fight sequence. The studios might have used a stunt double for the time being as they would only need Holland for sequences that show Peter Parker's face. Holland could simply lend his voice for Spider-Man's dialogue.

On a sidenote, writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein, who will pen the solo "Spider-Man" film scheduled for 2017, stated that fans should disregard any casting rumors spreading across the Internet.

"We've discussed certain characters," explained Daley, "but nothing is certain yet, for sure."

"Captain America: Civil War" opens in theaters on May 6, 2016 while the solo "Spider-Man" film hits theaters on July 28, 2017.
