'Agent Carter' spoilers: Peggy's struggle to prove her worth in SSR continues in episode 7

 ABC

"Agent Carter's" penultimate episode will be up this week, but it does not mean that Peggy's (Hayley Atwell) action-packed adventure will start to die down.

Peggy has been spending most of her time throughout the season proving that she can be a valuable asset to the Strategic Scientific Reserve despite her gender. But the ordeal that she encountered in the past episode dimmed her chances for redemption.

The synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "Snafu" reads:

"Peggy is cornered and more vulnerable than ever as Leviathan makes their move against her. As the SSR zeroes in on Howard Stark, they may pay the ultimate price as they find their true enemy is closer than they realized."

In the video trailer for the episode, Peggy is handcuffed by her workmates and is being interrogated to squeeze the truth from her. She continues the fight to earn the trust of the people from SSR, even if she keeps on snooping around behind their backs.

But the question is, are they still willing to believe her?

The trailer also shows that a dangerous explosion happens at the SSR headquarters. Are there any casualties after the big blast?

"Marvel's Agent Carter" was brought to the small screen from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where Atwell first portrayed the role in both the "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" films.

In the TV series aired in ABC, Carter had been tapped by Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) to work for him on a series of secret missions to help clear his name from a crime that he did not commit. While doing that, she must continue doing administrative work for the SSR to cover up her mission.

Carter is assisted by Stark's trusted butler Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy) to be able to execute all her tasks. He has been her constant communication line with the multibillionaire who hired her for the job.

There is only one remaining episode left for the season after this one, but there is no news yet from the network or Marvel if "Agent Carter" will be picked up for season 2.

"Marvel's Agent Carter" episode 7 will air on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
