WWE rumors: Will Dean Ambrose or Roman Reigns join the Authority?

WWE Elimination Chamber is hours away and right now the word out is that Roman Reigns will cost Dean Ambrose the WWE heavyweight title currently held by Seth Rollins.

The trio were best known as the Shield but has since gone their separate ways.

Rollins won the WWE heavyweight title when he cashed in on his Money in the Bank Briefcase at Wrestlemania 31, curb stomping Reigns to steal the title away from then-champion Brock Lesnar.

Reigns has since been hot on Rollins' trail but has yet to succeed. And now it will be turn of another Shield member Dean Ambrose to get a shot at the prize.

But if the rumors hold true, Rollins will still retain the title and Reigns will have a role in it. Though it is unclear on whether Reigns would join Rollins and the Authority, it seems like Reigns and Ambrose will transform from friends to enemies after WWE EC.

For Rollins, it seems unlikely for now that the WWE Universe would see either Ambrose or Reigns joining him at the Authority.

Rollins calls Ambrose unpredictable and there is no telling what he would do to align himself with the Authority at least for now.

As far as Reigns is concerned, Rollins calls him stubborn and has a beef to settle with the current WWE champion. Further, he cannot imagine Reigns donning a suit and tie and become a member of the Authority.

In summary, Rollins doesn't see both joining the Authority at least for now. It could happen if the WWE creates a storyline that calls for it but as far as Rollins is concerned, it seemingly could be awkward and odd to see either (or both) submitting themselves to the said faction.

So how will Rollins deal with Ambrose and Reigns at WWE Elimination Chamber?

The WWE EC pay-per-view is set to be shown exclusively via the WWE Network this Sunday at Corpus Christi in Texas at 8PM ET and 5PM PT.
