A lot has happened in the lives of the "Star Wars" favorites who are making a huge comeback to the silver screen after three long decades. For instance, Jedi hero Luke Skywalker may have gone to create his own family and his son is likely to make an appearance (a big one at that) in the massively hyped-up installment of the legendary intergalactic franchise "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens."

The newest rumor about the film, with the plot still off the record, is that the young Skywalker will be a huge player in the franchise. The rumor mill has gone as far as saying that the character that will turn out to be the junior Luke in "Star Wars Episode VII" will be the one played by actor Domhnall Gleeson. 

It was revealed that the actor, who is slowly making a name for himself with series like "Unbroken" and "Ex Machina," is a Rebel defector and eventually an Imperial Commandant in the space-themed flick. His character will reportedly bear heavy connection with Gwendoline Christies' character, who will be his right hand and the chief of the Chrome Shocktroopers. 

Speculations suggest that whatever Gleeson's character will do in "Star Wars Episode VII" will be a big deal in the film. His character is described as a two-faced scout who vows his service to neither the Empire nor the Rebellion. He is said to have plans of ripping down the super weapons used by the opposing sides while aiming to capture Finn for a reason that remains to be seen. 

According to Movie Pilot, the giveaway to his relationship with Luke is the rumor that points to the latter's evil transformation after years of unbearable seclusion. This brings into play rumors saying Luke spent decades protecting an ancient Sith tomb, which has major insinuations to the Force. A sinister Luke Skywalker is certainly an ideal complement to Gleeson's character, who is speculated to be the individual to awaken the Force in the movie. This will also be a fitting storyline for another father and son variance, one of a Luke-Darth Vader caliber. 

In other "Star Wars Episode VII" news, Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) has proven his ardor in quelling fans' thirst for spoilers. While everyone tries to figure out what his (and basically everyone else's) character will be like in the film, the actor advises everyone to simply "relax" and wait. 

"I wish people would just relax," he told Los Angeles Times. "We're not trying to play games with people. We just want to maximize their experience at the movies where it should be seen and not have it leaked over the Internet. Believe me, it will be here before you know it." 

The actor called for excited fans of the franchise to "forget about it," adding that building it up in their minds will only result to disappointment. So it is best to simply wait for Dec. 18 when "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" finally crashes theaters.
