'Pokémon GO' tips and tricks: get around in-game glitches and errors with these tips

"Pokémon GO" is one of the most widely played mobile games in years, with over 50 million players during its peak, but despite its popularity, the game does suffer from a few glitches and bugs. Some of these errors can be frustrating, but there are a few tips and tricks to work around them and get the game going again.

According to iTech Post, one of the most common bugs occurs when players attempt to redeem the gifts from a PokéStop, but they greeted by a "try again later" message instead. The best workaround to this error is to tap the Shop icon and then tap on any item for sale. When the game prompts the player for payment, simply cancel, and the PokeStop can now be accessed.

The report states that the error is likely caused by a connection failure with the servers. By accessing the in-game shop, "Pokémon GO" will re-establish a secure connection, allowing features like the PokéStops to function as intended. It is also noted that this error occurs regardless if the player is approaching the PokéStop on foot or in a vehicle.

Powering up a Pokémon can also cause some errors. The report states that after powering up a Pokémon, it is suggested to switch over to a different Pokémon then swipe back to the original one. By doing so the Stardust will have been properly deducted, and the player can then properly see if they have sufficient Stardust to continue powering up that specific Pokémon.

Transferring Pokémon can also run into an error. Unfortunately, there are no immediate tricks in getting around this, and the report states that the best solution is to simply terminate the app and then boot it up again. Once the app is running again, the player should then check if the Pokémon transferred or if the player needs to repeat the process.
