Kingdom Hearts 3 new characters release date: Launch should be by E3 or D23?

Kingdom Hearts 3 continues to keep people thinking and waiting on what characters they will unveil but thus far, no confirmation.

For now it seems that that status of the game from Square Enix hasn't changed a bit. If you caught that article we placed up in February, word had it that Darth Vader and Elsa were being teased as possible additions as far as the character lineup is concerned. To this day, that remains in the rumor category but new characters are being put into play.

This time around, Captain America and Star Wars characters are being rumored to be part of Kingdom Hearts 3 but again, Square Enix is not confirming nor denying. It is widely believed that the game could debut at E3 but with little time left, Square Enix could either disappoint or surprise the eagerly awaiting gamers.

Then again, the game developer has had the knack of not being punctual when it comes to release dates so it would be best to lower hopes on E3. Besides, there is another event on tap - the D23 Expo which will be held in Japan that takes place in November.

With D23 about 5 months away from E3, such could have ample time to entertain and possibly insert new characters into the game. For now however, those characters in mind remain a secret.

Though that angle seems like a disappointment for folks who want to know which characters would be included, Tetsuya Nomura promises a lot of interesting things planned for Kingdom Hearts 3. He claims that development is going smoothly and that new announcements will be made soon.

Also, there seems to be a smartphone-compatible game in the works that could come out once Kingdom Hearts 3 is officially unraveled. This means that folks can probably play the game on their mobile devices soon though it remains to be seen if it will be parallel to the actual game console versions.
