"Jurassic World" was highly successful when it was released in June and now, film director Colin Trevorrow shared where he got the inspiration for the movie, which earned more than $1.6 billion in ticket sales. 

In the recent episode of the "Jurassic Cast Podcast," the director stated that he got the inspiration for the fourth installment in the "Jurassic Park" series from one of the lines mentioned by Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) in the first "Jurassic Park" movie. 

"It's, 'You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you knew what you had, you patented it, you packaged it, slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you want to sell it," Trevorrow said. "That to me is 'Jurassic World.' That's why I had all the product placement, that's what it was." 

For the sequel of the movie, Trevorrow and co-writer Derek Connolly seem to be working with the same formula since they will use another line from the original film. This time, the inspiration comes from "Jurassic Park" paleontologist Alan Grant (Sam Neill).

Paraphrasing the character, the director said, "Dinosaurs and man, separated by 65 million years of evolution, have been thrown back into the mix together. How can we know what to expect?" 

Trevorrow also said during the podcast that the sequel will not be called "Jurassic World 2." According to the director, the upcoming movie will have a different vibe since the audience somewhat gave them the permission to take the plot to the next level. 

The "Jurassic World" sequel will feature the return of Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard). Trevorrow refused to add more details about the storyline.

Universal Pictures scheduled the release of the "Jurassic World" sequel on June 22, 2018.
