GTA V PC release date: Xbox One, PS4 and PC versions may be nigh

The wait for a PC release date for the Grand Theft Auto V game may not be too long, according to latest reports.

Intel marketing director Chris Silva recently spoke to PC Gamer, hinting that it may not be too long for a pc version of the game to be released. He said, "At least with Grand Theft Auto I don't think it'll be console exclusive very long. But that's what happens when you have a brand new launch with two companies that have lots of money trying to make sure they have content."

The game, which is currently available for the Xbox 360 and PS3, is yet to be released for the latest next-gen consoles as well. The Xbox One and PS4 is slated to hit shelves come November.

Rumors of a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V have been rife. Last month, reports stated that the game will indeed be available for PCs, and it will be released November 22, 2013.

The GTA V PC version can reportedly be pre-ordered by UK e-retailer Game Seek for £24.75 ($39.86) for the November release date, although the site states that the date is subjected to change by the manufacturer.

The retailer predicted the following PC:

For computers running on Intel processor, it would have be at least a Core 2 Deo E4500 2.4GHx processor with GeForce GT 340, 2GB RAM, 32GB Hard Drive, DirectX 10.0, and running on Windows XP or 7.

For AMD computers, the processor would have to be at least an Athlon 64x2 Dual Core 5400+, Radeon HD 3800 series, 2 GB Ram, 32GB Hard Drive, DirectX 10.0, and running on Windows XP or 7.

Rockstar has yet to confirm a PC release date, but that is not stopping gaming fans and developers from posting screenshots of what could possibly be the PC version.

Rockstar's Toronto Beta tester DevBuild recently posted on Reddit that the game may run on a locked frame of either 30 or 60 framers per second.

Grand Theft Auto V released on September 17, 2013 around the world and surpassed the $800 million figure on its launch date. They reached $1 billion in sales within three days of the launch.

Games creator Rockstar did not deny or confirm that they will release versions of the game for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

GTA V co-writer Dan Houser told The Guardian: "Of course we're interested. But no, not in terms of GTA, because we're always working on the current game. We look at the tech at a more practical level: what will be ready for which game that we're working on further down the line. We don't have another GTA in development, we don't work on three of these games at a time. That would be phenomenally depressing. So, in terms of GTA, no. We get pitched by the hardware manufacturers on what they're planning to do and our tech guys come up with ideas on how that could be used. Does this influence design decisions? Of course. But we're not sat there fantasizing about 10 years down the line. We're so busy with what we're doing right now."

GTA Online, the multiplayer component, launched October 1, 2013. However, the online version faced multiple server issues as they tried to deal with the sheer number of players logging on to play the game. The games creator had also warned of many bugs that will follow the initial launch of the game. "This sort of thing is inevitable in a massive open-world game and there'll surely be lots more unexpected oddities like this in the Online world next week. Rest assured we'll be monitoring and actively doing all we can to smooth such things out as they happen, but we need your help to find them, as well as your feedback to help fine tune all of the game's systems so everything is perfectly balanced."
