For now, "Grand Theft Auto" (GTA) fanatics may have to satisfy themselves with GTA 5 with no word of a sequel coming out anytime soon.

Conservatively, it seems that Rockstar games is fine with the current setup and records set by GTA 5, a game that has shipped over 54 million copies since it came out in 2013.

Not only that, GTA 5 is ranked among Good Game's Top 100 Games list. So with all the hype surrounding GTA 5, it looks like Rockstar is not yet ready to come out with a sequel that can top its last game offering.

Many feel that "Grand Theft Auto 6" could out in 2018 at the earliest. That would be more or less two years from now, giving game developers a chance to hear the voices of GTA fans on what they would want to see.

Such include a larger map instead of the current city map, which may be a tall order for the developers. Aside from the game setting, there is also the matter of needing to maintain, if not improve, the graphics of the game despite the impressive presentation that GTA 5 already offers.

More missions are another thing being clamored, meaning folks may be looking for more than just missions. Would getting into the personality of the characters in the game be ideal? Well at least some people believe so, making you think of how simulation games like The Sims have done such.

And, of course, there is the main focus that many GTA fans would want to see — more and new vehicles in game. While GTA 5 has its share of lush-looking vehicles, broadening and expanding the vehicle choices in the game could be something appealing. Why not old cars from the 50s or 60s?

As far as characters are concerned, could  a female character be added to the mix? Well it seems that founder Dan House has given the go signal for such. If that is the case, then we just have to wait and see. Could the alleged female character be using the voice of Eva Mendez as predicted by many? How about Ryan Gosling as one of the male voice talents?

All the things mentioned above are wild ideas and rumors which should account for a better GTA 6. But the thing is, it may take some time. The earliest could be 2018 while the latest could be 2020.
