Stephen King fans in Europe would love to know that the highly anticipated mini-series "11.22.63" based on the author's bestselling novel of the same name will be aired in Europe as well. FOX has secured the first-run linear and non-linear rights to air the nine-episode thriller.

The series will be aired by FOX in 18 European markets including the U.K., Germany, Italy, Russia, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Bulgaria. The list goes on with Flemish-speaking Belgium, Croatia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Serbia and finally, Slovenia.

Initially, "11.22.63" was just announced to be broadcasted by Hulu starting Feb. 15. An agreement reached by FOX and Warner Bros. International Television Distribution made the European airing happen, much to the delight of fans.

"We are delighted to be working with Warner Bros on 11.22.63," FOX executive Jason Simms said in a statement picked up by Digital Spy.

"With its epic and suspenseful story complemented by an absolutely incredible array of talent, both behind and in front of the camera, we are confident our audiences will love what promises to be one of 2016's hottest shows, first on FOX," he added.

FOX executive vice president Caleb Weinstein also expressed his excitement (via THR) to bring the "best content in the world" to Europe.

"11.22.63" follows a high school teacher named Jake Epping (played by James Franco), who yearns to accomplish something meaningful in his life. The opportunity was presented to him by an ailing pal.

He decides, at the request of his bedbound friend (played by Chris Cooper), to travel back in time and prevent former president John F. Kennedy's assassination perpetrated by Lee Harvey Oswald (played Daniel Webber) from ever happening.

As he performed his mission, however, he makes the mistake of falling in love with a person from the old timeline, making him realize how time can be fragile and extremely difficult to trifle with.

King and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" director J.J. Abrams are executive producers of "11.22.63." Other cast members include Josh Duhamel, Cherry Jones and George MacKay.
