Xbox One backwards compatibility: Microsoft resolving issue with multi-disc Xbox 360 games

Microsoft already rolled out its backwards compatibility feature for the Xbox One. Now, players who have Xbox 360 games can upgrade to an Xbox One without having to purchase another current-gen title for their games library as they can play Xbox 360 games on the current-gen console.

However, not all games available for the Xbox 360 made it as a backwards-compatible title for the Xbox One. Microsoft recently published a list of all Xbox 360 games that have backwards compatibility with the Xbox.

While the list of titles seems to be limited, Microsoft and Xbox noted that the list is just the initial batch and more games will be added to the mix. In addition, it is also stated that the list is subject to change, which might mean that a listed title may be taken down and stripped off of its backwards-compatibility feature.

Meanwhile, Crossmap figures that aside from adding more titles to its list, Microsoft is also looking into the issue of multi-disc Xbox 360 titles not making it to the Xbox One's backwards compatibility feature.

According to the industry observer, some of the most-played games on the Xbox 360 are multi-disc titles. The website also added that although Microsoft is hard at work checking out the issue, the company is also working on other features for the Xbox One itself.

Apparently, there is a new "My Games" feature in the current-gen console. This addition lets players access cross-version support and displays all games and DLC in the player's Xbox One and 360 libraries. This new "My Games" feature can be seen on the gamer's profile page. However, the feature itself will need the player's account details, as it will only reflect once the player signs in using an Xbox/Microsoft account.
