December is just a few days away and that means a new list of free games will be available for Xbox's Games with Gold subscribers. And unlike Sony, Microsoft does not keep their cards close to their chest until the end of the month as Xbox Live's director of programming Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson has already shared the list on his blog.

Xbox One subscribers will be getting "Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition" for free next month. The game is the remastered version of 2012 open world game "Sleeping Dogs," and it features several improvements in gameplay and quality over the original. The game is set in Hong Kong and players will get to play as Wei Shen, a police officer tasked to take down the Triad organization Sun On Yee.

From Dec. 16 to Jan. 15, 2017, Xbox One subscribers also get to download "Outlast" for free. The Red Barrels developed game lets players step into the shoes of Miles Upshur, a freelance investigative journalist who is investigating a remote psychiatric hospital in Lake County, Colorado. A sequel is coming out in the first quarter of 2017.

Xbox 360 subscribers will have "Outland" in their list of free games from Dec. 1 to Dec. 15. After that, members will get "Burnout Paradise" for free from Dec. 16 to Dec. 31. Both titles are also downloadable on the Xbox One thanks to the console's Backward Compatibility program.

"Outland" is a 2D platform game where players can use powers of light and dark to vanquish foes of the opposite alignment. Players can also play online in cooperative mode.

Electronic Art's "Burnout Paradise" is the seventh game in the long line of "Burnout" racing games, and it takes place in the fictional open world environment called "Paradise City." Players can compete in different types of races in the game, and an online mode is also available.
