The roster of superstars continues to expand for the upcoming "WWE 2K17" installment, as it is also confirmed that wrestling legend Bill Goldberg will come out as a playable character for pre-order bonuses.

2K Sports has already announced that legendary WWE superstar Bill Goldberg is one of the fighters for the upcoming "WWE 2K17" game. Instead of being included in the regular lineup, "Da Man" is revealed to be only playable as an unlocked bonus for pre-orders of "WWE 2K17." There will be two versions of the character included in the pack, as well as unlocking the arenas for "WCW Monday Nitro" and "WCW Halloween Havoc."

Goldberg is elated that he is asked to be one of the main superstars for the upcoming game. He said, "To be able to come back and be included in WWE 2K17, it's a huge honor."

According to Attack of the Fanboy, this is a welcome surprise to fans, since this will be the first time in many years that Goldberg will be included in the lineup. Reportedly, Vince McMahon and Triple H are preventing his return for unknown reasons. With this announcement though, Goldberg joins other fan favorites such as The Ultimate Warrior, Sting and Arnold Schwarzenegger as pre-order exclusives.

Meanwhile, aside from Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Sasha Banks, and the Ultimate Warrior, the roster for "WWE 2K17" continues to be fleshed out leading to its release later this year. It is already confirmed that the list for other wrestlers in the lineup now includes Kenny King, Low Ki, and TJ Perkins. As for NXT Divas, Sasha Banks will be accompanied by Bayley, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte in the lineup for the upcoming game.

"WWE 2K17" is slated to release on Oct. 11 for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, as well as the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
