'WWE 2K16' release date latest: Game available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, 360 - Seth Rollins taunts Stone Cold Steve Austin in promo video

The fact that Stone Cold Steve Austin is the cover of the upcoming "WWE 2K16" video game has led many to speculate of an in-ring return and this promotional video from its publisher 2K Sports will not surprisingly bump up all those rumors.

Not that Austin is seriously getting back in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) ring but perhaps maybe behind the controllers of a PlayStation 4 (PS4) or an Xbox One against current WWE champion Seth Rollins.

At least that is what anyone may easily depict from the promotional video you can watch below.

Obviously, this is something that should not be taken out of context. Rollins is expected to brag about being the champion, which will be something used as a marketing angle for 2K Sports.

And as far as Austin vs. Rollins in actual WWE action is concerned, well, that may be hard to believe. But then again one may never know.

The closest is perhaps seeing them fighting in the video game or probably coming out with an act at one of the WWE shows — two former champions yapping against each other and presumably leading to a patented stunner from Austin.

Rollins is of course one of a few WWE stars already confirmed to appear in "WWE 2K16." With reportedly 120 characters expected to banner the upcoming game, could all the stars, Austin included, be appearing? Well, it wouldn't be surprising.

But the real question is, has 2K Sports made the necessary adjustments to make it better than "WWE 2K15." It will be remembered that the current game has been hit by criticism and much of that was voiced out by WWE 2K gamers.

2K Sports has said that they did listen to the grievances of fans but it remains to be seen if the game developers did apply the said changes.

Well, the best way is to watch out for the said game, which will make its debut this October. "WWE 2K16" will be available in game platforms that include versions for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
