WWE 2K16 release date, new characters news: Eva Marie confirmed for WWE Game?

WWE 2K16 2K Sports

All eyes will be on "WWE 2K16" and hopefully the latest offering from 2K Sports will offer a lot of improvements that its predecessors failed in severely.

There will be reportedly 120 characters in the game. This does not include the retro-designed wrestlers which should more or less cover up the entire WWE roster, including the WWE NXT talent.

Despite that large number, there have been several WWE stars confirmed for WWE 2K16.

That includes Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Bad News Barrett, Paige, and Finn Balor. Stone Cold Steve Austin will likely be around as well with word that the game's Showcase mode will feature the Rattlesnake's road to success during the WWE Attitude era.

In fact, Austin is on the cover of the next game, something that sparked some rumors that Austin could be returning to the ring soon. Austin of course clarified that his appearance is no different from the time when Michael Jordan appeared on "NBA 2K" several years back.

In short, it isn't supposed to create false hopes and that the Rattlesnake has no plans to put his tights back on.

Another WWE star who could likely be appearing is the red-haired Eva Mendes. The WWE Diva has reportedly seen a photo of her recording a "WWE 2K16" commercial although footage has yet to be seen.

Other WWE Divas rumored to be appearing include Sasha Banks and Rosa Mendes.

As for the male wrestlers, Rusev is rumored to be confirmed as well together with WWE NXT champion Finn Balor. Check out the video to see how Balor worked with a motion capture studio for the upcoming game below.

"WWE 2K16" will likely come out this coming October and will be available in PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One gaming platforms.

So who else could possibly appear in "WWE 2K16?" Could it have room for a WWE legend like Boogeyman? Well he did send out a tweet, even though it remains to be seen if the game developers noticed.
