UFC News: Conor McGregor belittles Nurmagomedov's win, calls his performance 'Sloppy'

Reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Conor McGregor recently took a page out of Georges St. Pierre's book to give his opinion on Khabib "The Eagle" Nurmagomedov's UFC 219 win over Edson Barboza — sort of.

"I am not impressed by your performance" is a quote made famous by St. Pierre during his early years in the sport. It became so well known throughout the Mixed Martial Arts world that it has crept across other reaches of the internet by becoming a meme.

This was what the Irishman was trying to say when he gave his assessment to Nurmagonedov's performance, only he said it in his own Conor McGregor-ish way.

"The Notorious" recently took to Twitter to criticize the Russian, calling his performance "dog s**t" and indirectly calling him sloppy. He then said that he should be paid what he is worth if the fans want to see him back in the octagon.

Known for his boisterous personality, McGregor has been demanding part of the UFC's ownership since last year, and he brought up the subject again after his mega fight with boxing great Floyd Mayweather back in August 2017.

He then followed it up with another tweet saying that everyone who wants to see him fight again will have to beg him for it or else he won't be coming back.

Having read enough of McGregor's offensive posts, Nurmagomedov came back with a couple of tweets of his own.

According to MMA website MMA Fighting, Nurmagomedov, who is now 25-0 in MMA, voiced his opinion that the Lightweight champion won't be back in the UFC anytime soon because his pockets are still full from the prize money he earned from the Mayweather fight.

He also expressed interest in fighting interim champion Tony Ferguson, saying that he would fight both him and McGregor on the same night if he has to.
