'True Detective' season 3 premiere date, news: New season to start in 2017?

 HBO

"True Detective" season 2 paled in comparison to the masterpiece work of season 1, but despite the decline in quality and viewership, it was revealed last year that HBO was still willing to move forward with a third season. However, according to Den of Geek, "True Detective" season 3 will probably not come out until 2017 at the earliest.

According to the report, this stems from the fact that HBO programming president Michael Lombardo admitted their main mistake was in rushing series creator Nic Pizzolatto to immediately conceive the plot and write the script for season 2 when season 1 was a product of careful planning that took a long time to finish.

If HBO pushes through with the plan to let Pizzolatto take his time for season 3, then the show won't be immediately heading back into production this year, ruling out a 2016 premiere. It is still likely that the series creator can finish preliminary work on the script by the end of the year, indicating that a 2017 or early 2018 premiere is still possible.

However, despite the support from HBO, Vine Report points out that not everyone is enthusiastic to join "True Detective" season 3. Season 1 was a big success and had big-name stars such as Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, but season 2 dipped in the ratings despite also having a stellar cast.

According to the report, the decrease in ratings may have lowered the interest of other stars to join a third season, if it even pushes through. This will become clearer once HBO officially greenlights the third season.

Unfortunately, at this point there are no official directors or cast members attached to the project. A previous report did state that rumors are flying about "The Wire" and "Luthor" star Idris Elba, who is currently filming the movie adaptation of "The Dark Tower," may be directing an episode or starring in "True Detective" season 3.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
