Isn't it timely for Amazon to finally air the second season of its dystopian drama, "The Man in the High Castle?" And what's even more interesting is that the new trailer showcases a rather suggestive storyline of an America governed by fascists.

It's no secret for the fans of the 1962 novel of the same name by author Philip K. Dick that the TV adaptation had some misfits in its first season offering, but by simply watching the trailer for the new season, one can't help but realize it still is worthy to watch after all, and critics agree that the show deserves to be watched, proof of which is its high ratings for the first season.

According to Indie Wire, season 2 of "The Man in the High Castle" is a story of how the country's future is shaped by those who dared to change it, which to some respect is very well-timed and judicious based on what America is facing right now.

In the new season, there will certainly be a drastic change in the country's future as well as the characters' lives. One man is heard saying in the teaser, "We are on the same side," which implies there's a common enemy that needs to be defeated, but the American people are pretty much divided.

Meanwhile, season 2 will again showcase Juliana Crain (Alexa Davalos), but this time she's looking at the possible repercussions of betraying the Resistance. How and where will she end up at the end of this season? Also, Joe Blake (Luke Kleintank) will be one of the central figures as he continues his quest while carrying with him the mysterious film that was supposed to be delivered to the Man in the High Castle.

Season 2 of "The Man in the High Castle" premieres on Dec. 16 via Amazon Prime.
