Teresa Giudice is preparing to have a better quality of life once she gets out of prison. Right now, the reality star is using the time to improve herself as she serves the remainder of her 15-month prison sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut.

"She's taking care of her body, she's taking care of her mind," Giudice's lawyer James J. Leonard said to E! News. "She's making sure her family's looked after. She's reprioritizing things in her life."

Leonard also said that the 42-year old is turning to her faith and is going to surprise a lot of people once she leaves prison.

"I think she's going to emerge stronger, more focused," Leonard said. "She's getting back in touch with her faith. She's spending a lot of time praying in there and I think the Teresa that comes out of prison is going to wow people."

For now, Leonard says that Giudice stays in constant communication with her husband and daughters through email and phone calls. She also gets visits from them every weekend, and the lawyer said that having the family all in one place is a bittersweet experience for all of them.

"Those visits, you can kind of escape your reality at that time and you can be with your family, you can hug and kiss them, but at 3:30 they have to leave. That's a very sad situation, but she's dealing with it really well," said Leonard.

After pleading guilty to fraud and other charges related to her and husband Joe Giudice's 2010 bankruptcy filing, the 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star is almost in the middle of her prison sentence. According to her lawyer, Giudice will be out by Christmas, after which she'll be on home confinement until Feb. 5 or 6, followed by a period of supervised release.
