'Teen Wolf' season 5 episode 6 spoilers: Dr. Valack lives in 'Required Reading'

 MTV

Episode 5 of "Teen Wolf" season 5 just revealed that it was Dr. Gabriel Valack (Steven Brand) who was responsible for the Dread Doctors book, being its author. What wasn't revealed was whether he was going to be an ally for Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) or if he would eventually turn out as one of the season's main villains.

Fans didn't get an answer to that question because the episode ended with a cliffhanger. Valack appeared to have been between life and death but the episode didn't reveal if he bit the dust or somehow survived. The official synopsis for episode 6, however, gives a big hint indicating that he might make it long enough to influence the group.

It reads: "Scott and his friends follow Dr. Valack's advice; and experience strange effects as a result."

The synopsis doesn't give much away and it doesn't reveal if Valack even survives; he could have given this advice before breathing his last or he might say these words before leaving and eventually becoming an antagonist for the rest of the season.

According to a report from CarterMatt, this synopsis also reveals that episode 6 will continue with the experiments done on him. How these may effect his transformation and capabilities has yet to be seen. If Valack is indeed still alive, then this would be a good opportunity to get more answers out of him regarding these tests and what they might do.

The report also states that there might be something coming up with Theo (Cody Christian) and Malia (Shelley Henig). The report cites that Malia might not betray Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) as many fans have come to speculate but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be wary of her actions because Malia and Theo might still be up to something sinister.

"Teen Wolf" season 5 episode 6, "Required Reading," airs on July 27.
