'Suits' season 5 spoilers: Troian Bellisario returns as Claire in episode 8 'Mea Culpa'

Claire opposite Mike back in Suits season 4 USA Network

Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) has been able to keep his secret for five seasons now, but a big threat that might reveal his past to the world is going to reemerge. A report from TVLine confirms that "Pretty Little Liars" star Troian Bellisario will be back as Claire in episode 8, titled "Mea Culpa," as a potential threat to one of Mike's cases.

Claire was first introduced in a flashback in season 4 as the first girl Mike lied to just to impress her with his skills. She eventually learned that he never really attended law school. Now, if she blows the whistle on his secret that he is not a real lawyer, then his whole career would come crashing down.

In the episode, Mike will be handling his first case as a partner — working this time with Rachel (Meghan Markle) — and he will find himself going up against Claire.

"It's Mike's first case as a partner and I'm the one he's paired up against, so he cannot meet with me because I'm the one person outside of his circle of trust that knows his secret," Bellisario told TV Fanatic. "It was really fun for me to get to play that, and to get to watch Rachel in a tizzy dealing with what she's have to deal with, which is stepping up and representing Mike."

Claire won't be the only familiar face from previous seasons popping up in "Mea Culpa" as the episode will also see the return of David Costabile as Daniel Hardman. According to the synopsis, he'll be looking for weaknesses in the firm that he can explot, just as Jessica (Gina Torres) is trying to repair the damages caused by Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Louis (Rick Hoffman), particularly their conflict in the previous episode.

"Suits" season 5 episode 8, "Mea Culpa," airs tonight, Aug. 12, on the USA Network.
