'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' rumors: Final trailer release date Oct. 19?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Disney/LucasFilm

According to a report from Screen Crush, the final trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is set to release online this Monday, Oct. 19. The trailer will make its debut online first before it starts showing in theaters on Nov. 6, accompanying the James Bond film "Spectre."

At the same time the report cites that movie goers can begin pre-ordering movie tickets for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" on the same date, Oct. 19.

However, as pointed out in a report from Screen Rant, there is no confirmation coming from Disney and LucasFilm and there is always the possibility that Screen Crush's source could range from a Disney executive to a theater employee who may have gotten word of pre-release ticket sales.

Screen Rant also reports that despite no other evidence to support the Oct. 19 ticket pre-sales and the trailer's release, Cinemark had posted via Twitter that the theater chain would indeed begin offering ticket pre-orders starting on that date. However, the tweet has since been taken down presumably due to misinformation.

According to a report from Forbes, the decision to release the trailer on Oct. 19 online and later accompanying "Spectre" makes sense. The James Bond film is expected to draw in a lot of viewers, which would allow Disney to market their "Star Wars" film to a large audience all at once and it will also help boost ticket sales for "Spectre."

It is speculated that the final trailer will reveal the movie's MPAA rating, which is widely believed to be PG-13, and its final run time.

The previous trailers focused heavily on the newer cast of characters while only showing Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca very briefly, but the final trailer may show footage of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher).

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens in theaters this Dec. 18.
