'Star Wars: Battlefront': Character customization confirmed, game to include C-3PO

Gamers are still waiting for game publisher EA to show off some gameplay from the much-awaited shooter "Star Wars: Battlefront" as it goes for trickling globules of details about the shooter. The latest revelation is the inclusion of another iconic character in the game.

Anthony Daniels, who lent his voice to C-3PO, R2-D2's trusty droid companion built by Anakin Skywalker, has announced via Twitter his involvement in the newest iteration of the shooter series, which EA followed up and confirmed shortly.

However, apart from the character's addition in "Star Wars: Battlefront," there weren't any details provided on what the droid will actually be up to in the game. This will be the first-ever appearance of the character in the "Battlefront" franchise.

Attack of the Fanboy thinks that C-3PO will most likely be the one ringing during a tutorial in the game. While many are convinced that, although he may not be as redoubtable as the other characters in his universe, "Star Wars: Battlefront" will heave him into an adventure that involves R2-D2.

Others just feel like C-3PO will simply be spotted in a cutscene. But seeing that it will be the first time he will step into the video game counterpart of his well-loved universe, it would be interesting to see more of him in the game.

In other related news, EA has confirmed via Twitter that there will be character customizations. It was revealed after a fan tweeted a question about the feature. However, EA put an emphasis to the limitations that come with this aspect of the game.

"Yes, we will offer customization," EA revealed. "That said, we won't be letting players create purple Stormtroopers or change Darth Vader's suit color etc."

"Star Wars: Battlefront" will be available for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Nov. 17. Gameplay will finally be presented during EA's presentation at the Electronic Entertainment Expo on June 15.
