Finished filming, "Star Wars 7" is — rather, "Star Wars 7" is finished filming.
Following tradition, the cast and crew were given a farewell gift after filming for the movie ended. In perfect "Star Wars" fashion, the souvenir came as a special written note from Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, director J.J. Abrams, and producer Bryan Burk.
One of the crew posted a photo on his Twitter account showing the thank you note from the movie makers, as reported by Cinema Blend (although it seems that the tweet has already been removed). And through that note, a new filming location was disclosed.
James Rose reportedly posted the note which says, "From the deserts of Abu Dhabi, to the Forest of Dean, to the stages of Pinewood, you have risen to every challenge and been as wonderfully kind as you are brilliantly talented."
The note was captioned: "Last day on set for some friends today! #StarWarsEpisodeVII #StarWars."
While the note does show its very unique composition, the focus falls on the particular mention of the Forest of Dean. The Forest of Dean was seen in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," but in Star Wars?
It is widely known that filming happened in Abu Dhabi and Pinewood so those do not come as a surprise, but the Forest of Dean in England is something new. Daily Mail did report that there were discarded equipment left in Puzzlewood, but there was no follow up on the story. This could actually be it.
The burning question right now is, what scene was Forest of Dean be used for? Could it be Yoda's home? Could it be Endor? Anyway, the answer will appear on the big screen once "Star Wars: Episode VII" hits theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
