The plot of "Star Trek Beyond" is one big secret, and film studio Paramount Pictures would like to keep it that way until the movie premieres this coming July. This effort starts with the personalized script the stars of the film received.

It turns out the actors get unique copies with respective typographical errors interspersed in them on purpose. So, in the event of a leakage, it will be easier to determine which copy was leaked.

This "Star Trek Beyond" titbit was courtesy of Karl Urban a.k.a. Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy.

"We got red scripts that have our names printed on them," the actor told Entertainment Tonight.

"There are specific spelling mistakes incorporated into each draft, so that if it were to get out, they could still track it back to whose script it was," he explained.

That's how serious Paramount is when it comes to keeping the story a surprise.

More secrets about "Star Trek Beyond" were revealed. For one, new weapons and "retro" uniforms will be featured. The retro design is believed to be a nod to the 50th anniversary of the beloved sci-fi franchise.

But the bigger bombshell unearthed has to do with USS Enterprise helmsman Sulu, played by John Cho, who was revealed to have a daughter whom he misses dearly.

Cho explained that when "Star Trek Beyond" begins, the group will be seen a little "homesick" and they feel that "they have been around each other for too long," which will lead Sulu to think more about his daughter. He also hinted that there's more to this baby revelation that will unfold in the movie.

This lines up with Urban's remark that "Star Trek Beyond" is set a couple of years after they commenced the operation.

"On this one you'll notice that there's been aging. It's two years into the mission, so there's wear and tear on the ship," the actor explained.

"Star Trek: Beyond" releases Jul. 22.
