A shocking twist was dropped during Sunday night's "Shameless" season 6 episode when another Gallagher learned that she is pregnant.

In the episode titled "#AbortionRules," Fiona (Emmy Rossum) found out that she is carrying a child while having her drug test for a new job promotion. But unlike her younger sister Debbie (Emma Kenney) who wants to push through with her pregnancy, Fiona is very sure that she does not want to have the baby.

In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Nancy Pimental explained the differences between the pregnancies of the two Gallagher sisters, and why Fiona does not want to have a child.

According to Pimental, Fiona knows that she does not want to continue her pregnancy after experiencing the difficulty of raising kids first-hand by taking care of her siblings. The executive producer also said that the eldest Gallagher sibling's determination to abort the baby could be felt when she told Debbie that she wants them to go to the clinic together.

But when asked if Fiona will go through with the abortion, Pimental said, "You definitely find out a few episodes later." She also revealed that Fiona will also tell Sean about the pregnancy soon even if he recently relapsed in his drug addiction.

Meanwhile, the next episode of "Shameless" will center on Frank's (William H. Macy) determination to teach Debbie how to get more money from the welfare system by showing her the ways to make sure that her child will get a birth defect.

The press release for the upcoming episode titled "The F Word" reads:

"Frank is going to teach Debbie how to work the welfare system to her advantage. Meanwhile, Kevin and Veronica will end up visiting a paralyzed Yanis in the hospital and try to make amends, but Yanis is going to arrive home and try to kill the two Lisas with Kev's van."

"Shameless" season 6 episode 3 airs Sunday, Jan. 24, on Showtime.
