The latest eports have revealed that Samsung is planning to redeem the Galaxy Note lineup with another render of the phablet set to be unveiled in 2017. Expected to be named as the Galaxy Note 8, the device is said to launch alongside the company's upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S8, as both are expected to feature upgraded specs and new features.

Previous talks surrounding the two handsets seem to have been fortified by famed device leaker Evan Blass as he tweeted the supposed model numbers for both the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8.

Blass stated that the Galaxy S8 will be having two renders bearing the product codes SM-G950 and SM-G955. Furthermore, it was said that both variants will be featuring curved-edge screens. At the tail end of the said tweet, Blass mentioned a device with the model number SM-N950 which many presumed will be the much-talked-about Galaxy Note 8 phablet.

However, the leaker wasn't able to disclose when these premium handsets will be unveiled to the public. It is believed, though, that they will be most likely be out in the open at the Mobile World Congress that will be held in Barcelona come February next year.

Meanwhile, it was also publicized beforehand that these yet to be unveiled smartphones will be part of Samsung's exchange program. The program will be rolled out first to South Korea who experienced the wrath of the now discontinued Galaxy Note 7. Other regions whose consumers also got victimized by the highly volatile phablet will have to wait for future announcements about the availability of the upgrade scheme in their respective countries.

Stay tuned for more news and updates regarding the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
