Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro release date, specs: several appearances online support phone's rumored launch this year

One of Samsung's highly anticipated midrange smartphones, the Galaxy C7 Pro, is set to be unveiled before the end of the year, although the South Korean company has not provided any official release date as of the moment. The fact that the device already made several appearances in benchmarking sites is proof enough that it indeed is coming very soon.

In a previous Geekbench appearance and as reported by Phone Arena, several important specifications were uncovered, though there's no telling if they are indeed legitimate. Aside from the revelation of the model number, SM-C7010, the benchmark test also unveiled that the Galaxy C7 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chip coupled with an octa-core central processing unit. Unfortunately, it won't be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat mobile operating system right out of the box, but observers expect it to be given an over-the-air update later on.

After the Geekbench appearance, the same phone appeared on Zauba, a website that tracks imports and exports of mobile device parts in India. The listing of parts as it appeared on the site included additional specs revelations, including a 5.7-inch screen as well as a full high-definition resolution.

Considering that the upcoming device is labeled with "Pro," it means that Samsung is expected to market it for consumers looking for a device that can provide amenities other than the usual calls, texting, multimedia, and gaming. However, the specs revealed so far does not indicate anything special about it, although one can rightfully say that it could very well compete with some high-end phones from other brands, particularly with the powerful processor and the premium screen size and display.

The Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro could see the light of day in a few weeks, which makes sense because the holiday season is near.
