Kathy Hilton says she's proud of the way her sister Kim Richards has decided to seek help for alcohol addiction.

"She's great. She's doing really, really well!" Hilton said to People Magazine on Saturday, May 16. "I'm very proud of her. She decided to go on her own."

"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star checked into rehab after she was arrested on April 16 and charged with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer.

During an intervention by Dr. Phil last month, Richards admitted that she suffers from alcohol addiction, saying, "I just want to do the right thing, and I want to be the strongest I can be."

The Bravo star briefly left rehab this week to attend her daughter Brooke Brinson's bridal shower. Hilton shared a photo of her and Richards at Brinson's shower for her upcoming wedding to Thayer Wiederhorn.

In the caption, Hilton wrote, "With my beautiful sister and niece @kimrichards11 @brookewiederhorn so happy for you and Thayer! Wish you both a long life together xoxo Aunt K."

A source told People that Richards came to her daughter's shower because there was no way that she would miss it.

"Kim is so excited for her daughter's wedding next weekend," said the insider. "She wouldn't miss it."

Will Richards be back for another season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills"? According to a report by Radar Online, Richards' RHOBH bosses are only going to renew her contract if she completes the full 90-day stay in rehab. For her part, Hilton is unaware whether her sister will be back when the show returns, but said that the Bravo show has been good for her.

"I think the show has been really great," said Hilton. "I mean she's a professional. She's an actress. But this is real."
