"Quantum Break" was originally set for the Xbox One but as reported by Gamespot, Microsoft has since announced that a Windows 10 version is also going to launch simultaneously. Not only that but consumers who pre-order the Xbox One version will get the a copy of the PC version for free.
PC consumers can choose to get the Xbox One version and get the PC port for free or simply buy the PC version on its own. Consumers must also keep in mind that the Xbox One and PC bundle is only available for those pre-ordering the Xbox One version and that this offer will expire by April 4.
"Anyone who pre-orders the Xbox One digital version of 'Quantum Break' through the Xbox Store, purchases an Xbox One digital token at participating retailers, or pre-orders an Xbox One Special Edition 'Quantum Break' bundle, will receive the Windows 10 version of the game downloadable at the Windows Store via redemption code," reads the official statement from the Xbox website.
As stated in the report, this is Microsoft's latest push to promote its games across both the Xbox One and the PC market. This has also been done for previous Microsoft games such as "Fable Legends." To ensure the game's quality is up to standards, the PC version was also developed in-house instead of being handled by a third-party.
However, there is more in store for consumers. Every copy of "Quantum Break" will also include a free copy of "Alan Wake" along with its DLC packs. The 360 title will be downloadable and can be played thanks to the new Backward Compatibility feature of the Xbox One.
Consumers who pre-order "Quantum Break" via the Xbox Store or select retailers will also get a copy of the expansion, "Alan Wake: American Nightmare." This pre-order bonus also ends by April 4, the day prior to the release of "Quantum Break" for Xbox One and Windows 10.
