'Power' season 4 spoilers: smaller role for Jukebox next season

It looks like fans will not see much of Jukebox (Anika Noni Rose) come "Power" season 4. The season 3 baddie, who helped Kanan (50 Cent) exact revenge on Ghost (Omari Hardwick), will be a smaller presence next season.

Jukebox was just introduced in the previous season, and she has changed the dynamic of the people around her. She and Kanan made a fearsome duo.

However, her essayer, Rose, has been tapped for a lead role in an upcoming BET series, which has an effect on how much her character will be involved in "Power" season 4.

"It's one of the problems of having this novelistic set of characters, which is you can't put everybody on a contract," executive producer Courtney Kemp told Deadline.

However, she emphasized that Jukebox will still "definitely" appear in "Power" season 4, but her role will not be as big as the EP planned.

"So as much as I would have loved to really have Anika's Jukebox be a huge part of Season 4, that huge role may have to wait because she has other things she's doing," Kemp explained.

"And, you know Anika is so talented, I would never imagine that I could get her to wait around to just do this part," she went on to say.

Despite Jukebox's absence, Kanan is intent on making Ghost pay and he will do so in "Power" season 4 with Kemp teasing that episode 10 "brings him full circle."

While Jukebox will mostly be absent in "Power" season 4, the show is making it up with the addition of "Fast and Furious" alum Sung Kang.

Kemp described the newcomer's character as "very influential" and who will affect Angela's (Lila Loren) in a big way come "Power" season 4. The character will be back as early as the season premiere.

"Power" season 4 is expected to air next year on Starz.
