PlayStation Plus February 2016 Free Game List Details: Nom Nom Galaxy, Helldivers, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Included

 PlayStation Blog

Courtesy of the official PlayStation blog, Sony has now announced the games that PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download for free for the month of February. The most significant title included on the list is "Helldivers: Democracy Strikes Back."

The "Helldivers" title is a cross-platform game that will be available for PS Vita, PS3 and PS4 owners. It includes the "Democracy Strikes Back" expansion to the original game and is highly praised as one of the best co-cop, top-down shooter titles of 2015.

PS4 players will also be able to download "Nom Nom Galaxy," a game developed collaboratively by Double Eleven and Q-Games. The game is a 2D platformer akin to "Terraria" in the sense that players must explore for resources in order to build a better base that must be able to defend itself from rival companies.

Players owning a PS3 will be able to download "Persona 4 Arena Ultimax," the sequel to the fighting game "Persona 4 Arena." Both titles are set in the "Persona" universe but are built as action fighting games instead of the traditional turn-based RPG system that the franchise is known for.

The second PS3 title available is "Grid Autosport," a racing title made by Codemasters, the same company responsible for the "Worms" games. Unlike traditional racing games, "Grid Autosport" is a mixture of both arcade-style racing and realistic simulation racing.

PS VIta subscribers, meanwhile, will be able to download "Nova-111" and "Lemmings Touch." Of the two, "Lemmings Touch" is the more significant title, being a touch-based sequel on the classic "Lemmings" puzzle gameplay.

All of the aforementioned titles will become available for PlayStation Plus subscribers to download beginning Feb. 2, the first Tuesday of the month.

According to a report from IGN, the titles were previously leaked online prior to Sony's official announcement via Reddit posts. At the time, only "Nom Nom Galaxy" and "Helldivers: Democracy Strikes Back" were identified on the list of downloadable titles.
