Can Tommy (Cillian Murphy) fall in love again when "Peaky Blinders" returns for its fourth run?

Its not a long shot according to the Birmingham Mail, as the online publication observed the speed in which the love story of Tommy and Grace Burgess (Annabelle Wallis) progressed.

One minute, Tommy fell in love with the former undercover police agent. Unsuspecting viewers were shocked when she was unceremoniously shot and killed. According to the article, possible actresses who can portray Tommy's next big love are Cherelle Skeete and Esther Smith, who have enjoyed successful careers in television and theater.

But while rumors are rife in introducing a new love interest for Murphy's character, could it be that his old love did not die after all? A report by Deadline hints at the possibility as an interview with Wallis gave some insight into her alleged "death."

"I think she was a reminder of a time and of a feeling that maybe had been very dormant within him through his PTSD after the war, through the life and family that he was embedded in. Therefore it had kind of chinked his armour as a human being," Wallis told Deadline.

Wallis went on about how she has been bombarded by fan theories, and that she is not discounting any possibility. She added that her character really managed to relate to the audience and this may be the reason that they have had trouble letting her go.

"I have so many friends so obsessed with the show so I've had all these theories thrown my way of how: there's no funeral or he's done it to protect her. Some people are so devastated by her death that I've had to give them hope. So I'm just gonna go 'maybe' and hold onto my conspiracy theories," she said.
