With the help of a corrupt prison guard, his brother, and his sister-in-law, she established a hot online business catering to the weirdest of fetishes even from the confines of the Litchfield correctional facility.
However lucrative as this is, it might cost Piper more jail time. But from the looks of it, she is ready for that. In season 4, Piper's booming business will certainly be a focus. Taylor Schilling, who plays the daring and unafraid jailbird, shared her insight.
"She may only have three months left," the actress told Entertainment Weekly when asked about the risk of her profitably unique and very fetish-centric trade. "It's a pretty wild thing that this character is risking a significantly extended sentence to play with this panty business."
Piper's secret fancy panty business is not something one sees every day, which is why "OITNB" season 4 is more interesting. It remains to be seen how long Piper's not-so legal operation could go on but Schilling had something to say about what Piper could become in light of its upsurge. The actress spoke about her character's "redemption" – how it will happen when it does and how it will turn out. Season 4 may be too early for it but Schilling provided a preview of what to expect and what not to.
"What if she's moving toward a place where she's finally, for the first time in her life saying, 'I'm going to bring it and I'm going to be who I am,' and she's been trapped by blonde hair and blue eyes for so much of her life?" she told EW. "Maybe it is redemption to go too far."
"Orange Is the New Black" will return with season 4 next year and Master Herald reported it will also deal with the events that took place after fan-favorite jailbird Nicky Nichols was thrown into maximum security prison.
